Talk-o-Meter is a new iPhone app from German developers Unperfekthaus that monitors a call and shows when someone is dominating a conversation. A brief calibration allows the app to recognise both voices and calculate each person’s share of the talk time.

The results are displayed as red and blue bars indicating the balance. Speakers can then glance at the Talk-o-Meter as they converse, and—the designer hopes—make adjustments if they are monopolising the discussion.
