Have bicycles now got right of way to swerve across busy traffic lanes? This campaign of haphazard cycle lanery in Dundalk would be funny if it wasn’t so bloody dangerous. Two lane streets are being made single lane (with double cycle lanes enclosed with barriers) and nobody knows who’s got right of way any more.
Instead of road markings, poles and slabs of concrete randomly mark out cycle lanes, in some cases car slalom through meandering narrow car lanes to accommodate cyclists we never see. Very curious. and expensive.
Who knew Dundalk Town Council has such healthy coffers?
