I’m not sure if this is something you will be interested in and I hate getting stuck on this subject but videos like this never get out and are never broadcast, it proves the Orange Order are not what they say they are. It’s pathetic. Filmed yesterday outside a Church in Belfast (I’ve been told it’s a Catholic Church but I cannot be 100%).

Senator Fidelma Healy Eames, Fine Gael
Update: Statement from Fine Gael, via Politics.ie:
“Senator Healy Eames boarded the 6.50am train to Dublin in a rush, at Athenry station yesterday morning (Thursday). She did so on the understanding that she would be able to purchase a ticket on board, as she had previously done on recent occasions. She was approached by an officer from the revenue protection unit on board who asked her for ID. She produced her Seanad ID card. She offered to buy a ticket as normal. He told her she could not buy a ticket from him and and fined her €100.
Senator Healy Eames was shocked to learn this as she had purchased two tickets on board just weeks earlier, in June. She showed the RPU officer the counterfoils which proved that they were both purchased on the train. Senator Healy Eames has appealed the fine.”

This excellent video was produced at Pink Training 2011/2012. Pink Training is the largest training event for LGBT students in Ireland and the UK. LGBT students from all over Ireland (North and South) come together for a weekend of modules and workshops covering a wide range of subjects from coming out to activism on campus. This issue is particularly relevant as The March For Marriage draws near.

Damn incarcerated Fenian hipsters.

I haven’t seen these featured in the Irish media but very interesting old photos from Mountjoy prison c.1850s of political prisoners available through a collection of two photo albums donated to the New York Public Library. The photos were taken for the then British Under-Secretary in Ireland.
You may like them.

Thought I’d get in touch with you regarding blatant misinformation in the latest pro-life media buy. The figure of 79% excludes the 28% of those surveyed who did not proffer an opinion – the actual percentage of respondents who agreed was 57%. [Survey data here].
That seems about right given that the emotive and leading question posed in the Pro-Life Campaign-commissioned survey was this:

Here are 2 cartoons (see also below) I did for an IABA [Irish Amateur Boxing Association] fundraising effort (1 of the Irish Olympic Boxing squad, and 1 of Katie Taylor). The IABA are hoping to raise some money for the upcoming European Schoolboy and European Women’s Youth and Junior Championships. The canvas versions have been autographed by the boxers and are now for sale. Prints are also for sale here.
