About 200 protestors gathered outside Leinster House at lunchtime ahead of the debate on the 19 per cent cut to the Respite Care Grant in last week’s Budget.
Up to 75,000 full-time carers will be affected by the cut, which Minister for Social Protection Joan Burton has insisted is necessary.
