On 23rd August 1994, Bill Drummond and Jimmy Cauty (a.k.a. The K Foundation, The KLF, The Justified Ancients of Mu Mu, The JAMS, The Timelords, etc.) traveled to a disused boathouse on the Scottish island of Jura with a million pounds of their own money and burnt the lot.
They recorded the event on Hi-8 video and subsequently toured the UK and elsewehere engaging in debates with audiences about what they did and why they did it.
