I must have been a seat or two behind the photographer here. When I saw Michael D. enter the box (stop that!) I had a feeling that he’d be on Broadsheet later…

I thought it was brilliant, but I know feck all about theatre.
It didn’t have a straightforward narrative. My mam, who was with me, didn’t love it, but even on a surface level the physical performances of Cillian Murphy and Mikel Murfi were something to behold. The score (is that the term used in plays?) was great.
Highly recommended if you want to laugh and simultaneously confront the falseness of the meaning we impose on our everyday lives, and the fear of facing up to what’s really there, and the impossibility of coming close to comprehending it all.
That’s just my take on it: I’m sure someone who knows more about plays/literature/life can put me straight.
