   Could be worse- at least it’s not close to the pit of despair that is Mullingar.

         Agreed. Always had a soft spot for Mullingar- had a bit of a buzz around it- Athlone is like some horrible time machine with a warped sense of humour.
         Gawd, but even thinking about it brings me down
