The Billboard Of Love

Gala Bingo hall, Ballyfermot Road, Ballyfermot, Dublin before (top) and after (above) the positive bill-sticking.

Declan writes:

“The Ballyfermot Chapelizod Partnership have taken over the billboards on the side of the GALA Bingo Hall – they’ve been falling apart for years. The plan is to create a permanent poster based on ideas from the locals – old stories, pictures, slogans and that. Students from BCFE [Ballyfermot College Of Further Education] will help us design the pieces.

Maser was good enough to grant us the use of his U ARE ALIVE piece to kick start the project and we are trying to get a decent profile on Facebook [link below] so that some of the local shops will find it easier to help us with the funding…”

Up close?

Maser’s life affirming handiwork in detail.

It’s missing the asterix… Somebody should be fired for that kind of mistake! I mean, they had one job- copy the old sign… I just dont know… :)

But, yeah, I like the sentiment.

Some classical music would go down a treat too!! think a college did something similar in Glasgow to reduce graffiti..
