thanks for posting guys. This painting keeps making me smile everytime I look at it. I wonder will the real Roy see it? Would be cool to get his opinion .
In the Uffizi our art lovers are fantastic, I’d call them the hardcore aficionados. But in the Palazzo Pitti they have a few vinos and probably the prawn panini, and they don’t realise what’s going on up on the canvas. I don’t think some of the people who come to the Pitti can spell ‘chiaroscuro’, never mind understand it.
