Are You Missing A Husky Puppy?

at

She’s missing you.

Alan writes:

My mother found a dog yesterday and I felt it worth posting as it’s a Husky pup and they are very unusual (and expensive),. She was found in the Rathfarnham/ Firhouse [Dublin] area without a collar last night at approx 5pm, she’s about 10-12 months old, is a very friendly, appears to be house trained, is in very good condition and currently keeping my two existing dogs company!

Anyone?

UPDATE: Alan writes: “My mother just found the owner at the vet, woman in floods of tears, all very emotional! dog (named Raja) is with the owner…”

The owner tweeted yesterday. I have tweeted him to tell him the news. Hope they are reunited soon!

What rescue centres are these? I’ve called the pound, the local Gardaí, tweeted it multiple times, put her on lostandfoundpets.ie.

Try dogstrust.ie – with a pound you never know if they are not going to put her down if unclaimed. Ashton pound has horrible kill rates.

Dogstrust on the Ashbourne road will take the pup, the pound will destroy the dog if no owner or home is found in a period of time.

  2. Frilly Keane, Anyone?

    @shinabhuil

I’m in that area and I don’t recognise that doggy

But at this time of year distressed doggies can end up anywhere

Suggest you drop him off at either Mark’s Terenure Animal Hospital on Whitehall Road or over to Paddy at the P & E Kennels on Clonard Road.

I’m off to Stannaway Park now and I’ll ask around. But its a sad day there as the Greenkeepers compound is being bulldozed. (Burned Out)

Thanks, Frilly, I’ll try that, though I suspect the poor pet is likely to end up in the pound anyway.
I suspect she’s a kid’s dog. Completely untrained, doesn’t even know ‘sit’ or to come when called, but a little sweetie.

I’m going to bring her to Mark’s in either Terenure or Dundrum to see if she’s chipped, thanks for that tip; organising a lift now. I’ve rung Terenure, Kilmainham, Sundrive and Rathmines garda stations and none have any note of anyone ringing in. I’ve also rung the DSPCA and the pound; no joy there either. Tweeted to @gardatraffic and a couple of local radio stations…
Poor little mite, I suspect somehow that she’s a kid’s dog – well cared for and sweet, but untrained.

  3. hello you!

happy to hear dog re-united with human carer… for future reference it would be worth reporting if lost dog was only a mongrel…

Thanks, all, brought her down to Mark’s in Terenure, and she turned out to be microchipped; when owner rang and came to collect her, he hadn’t noticed that his dog had been missing all night and day.
