Splutter!
€4.25 for ground coffee, hot water and minimum wage labour.
Summit wrong there.
Milking it in fairness.

Saddam should be hung for that.
Saddam abusing his powers. Old news.
4* hotel in Ballsbridge expensive prices shocker.
Go round the corner to Roly’s and you’ll get a cheaper coffee, you twits.
NEXT!
It is a hotel. They are always more expensive.
€4.25 in The Herbert Park Hotel
€2.00 in Roly’s to take out (any size) or €2.40 to sit in.
No competition, Roly’s is where I write most of my Broadsheet rants from!!!!
How’s the wifi?
Mrs Lefronde hasn’t been seen here in a while.
Roly’s is fabulous.
I wouldn’t say it’s the best coffee around, but it’s great value for 2 snots. Their chocolate twist thingies are a lovely treat for breakfast.
We’ve been meaning to discuss that with you, actually.
Herbert park only employ trinity graduates. Trinity graduates are more expensive to employ because of their superiority.
These post are getting as tedious as my comments.
Harsh.
posts.
christ.
€38 seems reasonable enough.
In fairness to the Herbert Park Hotel their coffee comes with a macaroon and little shot of water as standard. It’s presented better than any other coffee I’ve seen.
That €4.25 is out of context without a pic. Still a little steep but not terrible value if you could see what they offer for it.
A macaroon and a little shot of water.
Bargain so.
:) real bargain, water doesn’t come cheap as we all know !!!!
Next time- 6 Glasses of tap water for only €5.75 each!!
It was €4.70 for a pot of tea out there this morning.
Feck. I would never entrust my tea to strangers.
Solution 1: Don’t go back.
Solution 2: If you feel ripped off, in any shop/pub/cafe, simply hand the product back and say “No thanks, im not paying those prices”.
It’s too late if you have ordered it, there is a menu available. Simple mental rule I made at about 7 years of age. If I am buying something I ask “how much is it?” or I read the menu or price list. I then make a swift mental assessment of value versus satisfaction. Based on the results of that one either makes the purchase or goes elsewhere. It’s called a market!! Now get over yourselves and get back to work.
Well said. It’s all about choice.
I’ve paid €4.25 for a coffee in a china cup while seated in a soft elegant arm chair listening to Chopin and thoroughly enjoyed it. Other times a €2 cup on the street is just fine.
how many times have you asked for the price of a pint /spirit or glass of wine before ordering?
Solution 3: Let it serve as a warning to others. What do Broadsheet commenters have against consumer awareness?
They’ve ruined the Herbert Park hotel with that bloody big TV.
Herbert Park won the 4.20 at Chepstow today.
you would want to be a f*****g eejit to pay that much for a coffee must have more money than sense
