I think this particular display has some kind of charity fund raising objective or other! Very early IMHO but if it’s for a good cause, sure who am I to judge.

He raises a shedload for the hospice every year by shining some light on bath avenue. May have been a coincidence they were on and rugby match played yesterday. Also Bath pub sponsoring his le lie according to a small sign! All round good egg, whatever the season.

Believe me the hospice is not a good cause. The fundraising department has nothing to do with the actually hospice anymore. Oh and they pay the current CEO €12,000 a year as a top for being “head” of fundraising. Which she is not. Please don’t waste money donating to the Hospice.

Well i work there so i know first hand and its public knowledge. In the papers the same time as rehab Ireland top up story. And surprise the hospice CEO is now taking the ceo job in rehab.

      1. anonanomanom

That’s your choice. Just like everybody else. But you can look at this stuff your self. The ceo gets €21,000 in top ups. €9000 for running blackrock hospice and €12,000 from the fundraising department as she is head of fundraising, Yet they also pay their fundraising manager. Its simply a top up for doing nothing.

21K for running a valuable organisation like the Hospice seems like a very low salary. Obviously you’ve never had members of your family use their services as I had. I hope you never have to. I’ll donate. You’re still an arsehole.

          1. Anonanoanom

It clearly states €21,000 in top ups. As in extras. And its a waste of money donating because most people don’t realise the Hospice is a ltd company. The fundraising is completely separate to the hospice. Its no longer has anything to do with the nuns who set it up. The fundraising money is not used for daily needs of the patients. If any one wants to donate do so directly to the particular ward you want the money/gift to go to.

          2. Anonanoanom

I did reply explaining exactly why its a waste of money. But for some reason the comment was deleted. Look you keep believing that your money does good. And the ceo is not getting paid €21000 in pay. I don’t state that’s her salary. Its €21,000 in top ups. Read yesterdays Sunday mail if you want proof.

Here. Anonananmona. This thread is about Christmas decorations, lights and flashing Santys.. Not you.

I suggest you build a “timeline” type post regarding the renumeration of Hospice Execs and Hospice Fundraising results, and submit to Broadsheet. However, if you are using information you have acquired thru a professional appointment , thread carefully and maybe study Whistleblower legislation before you open your trap again.

Now lemme make the most of a Dublin 4 Christmas Lights extravaganza.
