Tánaiste Joan Burton in Cork County Hall this morning to discuss the future of Ireland’s economic recovery.
Pause.
Ms Burton is also expected to launch the first Bia Food Initiative warehouse, otherwise known as a food bank, in Little Island, Cork at 3pm.
Good times.

UPDATE:
Heard that @pmessy pointed out on air on @C103Cork that Joan Burton should have been coming down here to CLOSE not open a food bank. Yes!

+1
Disgusting con artist.
Pah!
Let them eat….. surplus grain and dairy
She’s launching a food bank?
Food banks are a win for the Labour party in government now?
Yikes, put it out of it’s misery.
Similar thing happened in UK with Lib Dem gurning over a parcel at a foodbank rather than hiding his face at the fact that under his government, use has dramatically increased.
“We’re trying to move away from the term food bank,” he says. “We’re calling it a surplus food redistribution system.”
Please sir, can we have some more deadpan euphemisms?
Where’s my free cheese?
What about the butter vouchers?
and the wine lake, although I heard that Brian Cowen single handedly reduced the lake to a mere puddle.
