Pablo, of Maglus Stylus at the Grand Canal with Paddy Kavanagh and the pen in action
The Maglus Stylus.
The Offaly-made ipad stylus with graphite alloy tip Patrick Kavanagh would probably use were he alive and so minded.

I work for a company called Maglus Stylus. The Maglus stylus is the brainchild of two young college graduates from Tullamore [Co Offaly] (Noel Joyce and Andy Shaw), they’ve done a great job creating what is considered by many to be the best iPad stylus you can buy.
The promo we are running this weekend is ‘20% off EVERYTHING on MagusStylus.com PLUS free worldwide shipping’. The promo code is XMAS14 and must be entered at the checkout. The offer is valid until December 8. Thank you and a Happy Christmas to all Broadsheet readers.
Irish-Made stocking fillers to broadsheet@broadsheet.ie marked ‘Irish-Made Stocking Fillers’. No fee just an innocent tickle.

A pencil is it?
Yup, seems to be a pencil of some kind.
Tullamore, Co. Offaly ted
And Maglus, not Magus. While we’re at it.
I like!
So is it a stylus with an in-built pencil?
The image above would have you think that it allows pencil-accurate writing on a tablet screen, but the stylus itself is a rubbery blob, just like all the others – I call shenanigans.
Em, it doesn’t have some sort of hardware/software with it to stop the iPad recognising your palm?
No dice!
Kavanagh would have traded it for a bottle of whiskey in Searsons’
If Mr Kavanagh were alive today Pablo would be in the emergency room of St James’s hospital having his stylus and his promo code removed from the high hole of his arse.
