*spits tea over screen, stands up, leaves country.
The ironing is delicious.
I think that’s a fantastic intern opportunity for someone and I have no doubt there will be plenty of applicants. The successful candidate will gain meaningful experience and skills, unlike a lot of the other internships advertised.
Yes, you’re right! That does look like a nice job for someone who is looking to work in human rights, maybe hoping that afterwards they could work for an NGO or an international organisation or even a law firm. The experience they get would definitely stand to them for any future applications. Kudos to Broadsheet for advertising it more widely!
Agreed. I have friends doing internships around the world at NGO’s/UN earning zero and they’d love this. This is actually what job bridge is meant to be about – not self stacking (though my inner guardianista says is that snobby though – vertible minefield)
*veritable
+1 for the correction. I have my good and bad days
this is definitely not one of the good ones
self stacking?
JobBridge will not make it through next election…
Ugh, I bet it’s not even real Dublin 8, but the stupid stinky Phoenix Park.
WTFF!
If this was April 1st, it would definitely be a joke.
Makes perfect sense. The Gardai hate human rights.
JobBridge – increasing unemployment since 2011.
Um. The irony is unbearable.

“The [UK] High Court has ruled emergency laws underpinning a government back-to-work scheme are “incompatible” with the European Convention on Human Rights.”
Good cop.
It would make a lovely opportunity for a young whistleblower.
Would there be training in the Templemoron dialect? I once asked a Garda for directions and was told “Firstly, round the about in an orbital manner…” Brilliant.
Dublin 8. Translation: Kevin Street.
Could be Garda HQ in Phoenix Park.
On the other side of the river to Coppers and the cheap eats of Camden Street? No. This is Kevin St.
