interview-kim-burn_3141843cThe Kim Jong-Un death scene from The Interview (2014)

If you’re after a nice bit of fun,
Don’t mess with the great Kim Jong-un,
When Hollywood tried,
Their computers were fried,
And as usual our hero won.

Would I be wrong in saying that the whole film was a bad idea and is probably poor anyway?

Maybe I’m biased because I dont like that gimp Seth Rogan.

The film is meant to be awful. I think Sony has seen an excuse to bail on a guaranteed flop. Seth Rogan should be thanking his lucky stars.

I think the general feeling of the meeting was, that the film was so lousy, it wasn’t worth the agro, from Best Korea

Could they not have made a movie about a fictitious place, such as West Koreastan.

North Korea is a country directly birthed by the actions of the US, at least in part. Hollywood and those two vapid fuckers can go do one. Kim Jongers is a complete tyrant obviously, but team America can do with being taken down a peg every so often.

I think the film is still being released, but straight to tv. By the looks of it they got a much better looking man to play kim jong un. He’s probably more pissed that they didn’t get Tom Cruise to play him..

There’s really nothing to point to North Korea as the culprit. Not directly anyway, they may have financed it but they wouldn’t have the infrastructure or experience to carry out such a complex attack. They are jumping on it as a way to get the film pulled. They may well be the ones behind the threats but the original attack was someone else.

There is a lot, a LOT, to point away from North Korea.
I found that without even looking for it.

How news organisations don’t get this is beyond me.

The FBI have just said it was North Korea.

It’s depressing. An anonymous threat and suddenly that tosspot despot gets to dictate content and free speech.

      1. Brian S

They FBI would say it’s an “enemy” of the u.s. It serves them far better than if it is attackers based in america,or spread across the world. In fact I guarantee that these people were not in the same room and probably not even the same country while they did these hacks. They used servers in South Korea to host part of the attack, so suddenly it’s North Korea that is to blame.
