The 3 terrorist were killed. Apparently all hostages are safe, with some policemen wounded

Hopefully this saga is now close to a conclusion, the French state will withdraw its terror squads from the streets and the people can get back to some kind of normality.

“French state will withdraw its terror squads” – dont think the police and army are out there for the craic or out to terrorise anyone, the are hunting murderers and trying to protect the people in France

        1. Clampers Outside!

That’s about 15 French ‘specialist-of-some-sort’ soldiers out doing their patrol because the country is on high alert.
What would you call it Zupps me aul flower?

I have no idea who is behind this act of theatrical violence, but reality is very difficult to fake which is why hoaxers such as these keep getting caught with their pants down.

For instance in the video there is no recoil from the AK47, no sign of a bullet impacting the body, no blood, and no spasms or twitching like you might expect from someone in the throes of dying, but rather a smooth continuation of the gentle roll over the actor had begun before the shot was fired.

But if you want to embrace the fear then I guess that’s your choice.

            Good luck with that.

          2. ReproBertie

I don’t live in fear. Nor do I live in denial cocooned by crackpot theories that fly in the face of common sense.

        2. RealCorkLanger

Well,it is a picture of heavily armed police/soldiers.

I’m not sure what your point is?

Would you suggest they go to confront armed and dangerous people without firearms and appropriate protection? Given the people they are hunting had already murdered 15 people(could be wrong on that number) including 3 police officers, one of whom was lying wounded on the ground.

Who do you think the people of France are afraid of?

To bring you up to speed RCL, Zuppy’s straining to maintain there’s some conspiracy here where it was all orchestrated by the French government to keep europeans (probably) in check.

He kicked it all off by pointing out that there was no coincidence that the last 3 letters in the first part of the name of the satirical magazine at the centre of this are L, I & E.

He’s a peach. Could try harder though.

          2. RealCorkLanger

            @Mikeyfex Ahhhhhh I see.Thanks for the update!

Missed those posts earlier, been hopping between different news sites.

I was mildly concerned a sane person actually thought what Zuppy does, but if he is just calling out the old Illuminati lizard people etc… then thats grand

Mind yourself Zuppy and happy new year

          3. Zuppy International

The only conspiracy I can see is the one trying to convince the world that a bunch of Cartoonists were murdered by disgruntled Muslims and I point to the substantial flaws in the video that is presented to us as evidence for these attacks.

I never mentioned Mossad, Illuminati, CIA, or Lizards. That’s all on you guys.

          4. RealCorkLanger

@Zuppy I think its safe to say ‘disgruntled’ is a rather soft word for the individuals involved in this.

Extremist nutters would probably be more accurate.

The fact that you are describing the police/army as ‘terror squads’ is very Alex Jones/ New World Order type of language, which is why I associated your comments with similar people who seem to believe everything that happens is a conspiracy.

          5. ReproBertie

If I remember correctly your “substantial flaws” were the lack of blood from the head and the man on the ground moving after the shot.

I’ve never seen anyone actually shot in the head so I’ve no idea what the results look like but you don’t think it’s strange that the French government would fund this massive security operation, complete with fake murders, to up the terrorism fear and yet scrimp on the special effects of the only on camera murder they release?

To the second point I’d remind you that a single shot to the head is not always instantly fatal and even after death nerves twitch and muscles spasm.

“I’ve never seen anyone actually shot in the head so I’ve no idea what the results look like ”
definitely not not pegging myself to the theory that it’s a hoax by any means, but didn’t you ever see the footage- finally officially released in recent years- in the documentary of the JFK assassination? It’s a horrible mess :/

          7. ReproBertie

@f_lawless I would presume the difference in mess would be down to the weapon and ammunition used in both cases and also JFK’s head being exposed while the cop’s head was on the ground.

It looks like a RAID unit. Could be GIGN but I suspect it’s RAID.

          Badass mothers too.

Unrelated to anything, that is one of the best usernames I’ve seen on this site.

Actually ReproBertie and Clampers Outside are class too

            Well done lads/ladies!

    2. Murtles

Two gunmen kill 12 people the flee to a then unknown location that could put any number more members of the public at risk. Another gunman kills a member of the police force and wound another and also flees. Let me ask you, what scenario do you envision that is OK for the French Police to deploy their tactical teams and elite police? Why are they terror squads, they’re hunting murderers?

    1. rotide

Gotta agree with that, two simultaneous operations which seem to have resulted in a 100% success rate.

      well played.

      1. f_lawless

yeah because even more killing really elevates us all as human beings.. the spilling of more blood is what was absolutely necessary now to make us feel better.. trials by jury? who the feck would want that at a time like this?..Sure that;s just old school stuff some poncey scholars dreamed up centuries ago to try and elevate us above the savages and look where it’s led us.. democracy, human rights. the rule of law..airy fairy shite… I too get a warm feeling inside at this news..”well played” indeed… it’s almost like reaching the last level on “call of duty” or something ;)

        1. Clampers Outside!

It’s adaptable now, do ya like the new role
          It’s getting better and better

Apparently many believe it’s a misprint, and actually reads as ‘raisins’ instead of ‘virgins’.

      So….
Gonna be a lotta grape-f**king in paradise

        1. Joe the Lion

I thought you were a tay drinker

and anyway why are you drinking coffee at this ungodly hour of the day

you will be up all night on the potty

  3. Clampers Outside!

    I wish they didn’t die.

I’d have preferred to lock them in a room like Oldboy’s, for a year, naked, with nothing to eat but crubeens and goats milk and the walls decorated with vandal proof covers of the Charlie Hebdo mag.

At least the world is free of two more demented religious fanatics.

    1. f_lawless

@Clampers Outside! ah bless..I wish I too had such a simplistic view of the world… that I’d never heard of the the rise of fanatical religious martyrdom; that we lived in a world where these killings would never inspire others in turn to pursue a similar cause.
