Was McAleese tasked with examining the time period the lobby group refer to?

Anyway, it’s typical Oirish Times sophistry and I don’t believe a word of it.

To summarise the mentality of the Oirish Times: Mary McAleese good, Martin McAleese bad.

the story you’re referring to this morning is actually in the Irish Examiner. But I guess that’s just a sign of how far the liberal-pinko conspiracy has spread, isn’t it? :-)

The marches today are such a beautiful reminder of the fact that for all it’s faults humanity is fundamentally decent and good.
I found the early news reports of the vast numbers of people displaying such unity against nothing more than a weak petty virus of delusion and violence truly emotional.

Is it a bit cynical of me to “rain on the parade” and say how come 17 deaths of Europeans can provoke such a response while at the same time the killing of up to 2000 civilians in recent days by Islamic extremists in Nigeria seems to be just a side story (as presented in Western media at least)? Does anyone know if that event featured heavily in speeches made at the rallies? I do wonder would there have been any marches at all in solidarity with Nigerian citizens if the Paris events hadn’t happened.
