It’s all go in cork.
The Rebels have declared war. Thine clock shall not tick, nor bell rang until independence is granted.
In fairness, it’s not a public utility. Maybe if you went to mass more (making assumptions), they could afford to keep it running, on time, 24/7.
It’s a Church of Ireland building, though most would agree that it’s a tourist attraction and beloved landmark in its own right. So the City Council, I believe, stepped in to fund repairs to the clock….which is fair enough. The number of CoI adherents on the North Side of Cork City would not be huge….they’ed struggle to fund repairs (is my guess).
The sheer dynamism of this post is too much for me to take.
Please ensure you post again on the two occasions during the day when the clock is right. The people need to be made aware of these things!
“the two occasions” it’s right? Given it is known as the ‘four faced liar’ as each clock shows different time (even the two faces shown above differ) that gives it 8 times a day at least one face will be right. If a post happens each time, careful your head does not explode from the excitement… :)
