Indeed, This is a legacy of local authority management of water supply and a lack of focus on this at a national level. This is what Irish Water has been set up to tackle. It is clearly a bad situation for those households but it would be help to be clear about how the problem has to come to this sorry state!

so what you’re saying is ‘3.50 please, and just be glad we don’t charge you for the brown stuff too’.

Enda Kenny personally came down and opened a drain outside your house and pissed into it. When he ran out, he called Joan and she came down, squatted, and had the scutters into it….

That’s like blaming MON-Keano for the state of Irish football two weeks into the job. Have a read of the IT editorial today. This is going to take a long time and a lot of money to fix.

Yes, but mentioning @IrishWater increases your chance of a retweet, which is clearly the most important thing

our water was like that when we had the meters installed, mainly due to poor construction procedures and “debris” getting lodged in the pipes during installation. unfortunately our street has alot of fully employed people and senior citizens on it so we didnt get to stop them

    Get filter. Enjoy life.

When they look for payment hand them a glass of that (with added urine) and say here you go, you drink it if its worth paying for.

They’ll probably tell you to boil it. Tell them you’ll need a jenny and a years supply of gasoline.
