Thom McGinty (top) and his funeral procession on Grafton Street, Dublin
Twenty years today.
Much-loved, supernaturally rigid Scotland-born, Dublin-based, statuesque street performer Thom ‘The Diceman’ McGinty died.

Jeez, time be flyin….
20 years!!. Where does time go ?
had the great pleasure one time of doing some street work with him. was a volunteer clown for a charity and on one of the early street festivals he joined myself and my friend.
you are still remembered, Diceman!
Feeling older all of a sudden :|
…20 years…was on nodding terms with him from the smoking section in Bewleys.
Me too.
20 years
And still a loss to Grafton Street.
That’s really sweet.
Well remembered Hoop!
Be only doing me duty boss.
I remember him as being really nice to kids. As a wee culchie up for the day in the 1980s with my folks, seeing and interacting with The Diceman on Grafton St. was always a highlight.
Spirit lives on.
