The placing of that “Double Killer Exclusive” headline on the front page of The Sun is unfortunate, looks as if it’s referring to the Love/Hate Hope/Nope Enda.

Nice to see the Examiner and Irish Times still bigging up the bid for Aer Lingus. Contrast their coverage with their p*sspoor coverage of the sale of Bord Gais or indeed the €22 billion IBRC loan book.

And we’ve gone three straight days with the Irish Times not blanking out one of its hot stories it didn’t want its rivals to catch. Has it lost its own inflated sense of mojo?

And, has anyone splashed out on a subscription yet.

The Irish Daily mails headline. FFS what has that got to do with anything? And how is that relevant?

Well if they wrote “protestor claims she was hit by TD’s car’ it wouldn’t fit so well with the banner above where we’re told that ‘we just can’t allow the mob to take over’ . The Mail are doing a ‘public duty’ by warning us that this is a ‘Mob row woman’ so if we let her sort take over, there will be a fracas in Ann Summers every day of the week… or something.

“Fracas – Ann Summers – broken vibrators.”

Why, she’s a baddun and no mistake.

Couldn’t believe a word she says today. She’s probably arrested under public order laws every Saturday night. And she works with that filthy retailer, Ann Summers. Anyone who uses vibrators is a pervert.

And contrast her life with the dignity of the FG TD whose family is left “traumatised” by a group of 20-30 unhooded ones conducting a silent vigil for an hour outside the perimeter of their house.

If there’s to be any mob justice or mob rule in Ireland, it’s to be whipped up and directed towards water protesters.

      1. Mayor Quimby

Are you still boosting “Dr Markey”?

        – the main guy behind the protest in Meath was prominent in the campaign in support of Brendan and Asta Kelly – i.e. greedy, bankrupt landlords!

It seems that the scrotes in the protest are more concerned with mortgage defaulters keeping their properties than on any high minded principle.

    3. Mayor Quimby

Just explaining to gullible hipster wannabes that they’ve been had by these protesters.

They’re just like Jerry Beades and his merry band- they want mortgage defaulter to keep their gaffs that they paid over the odds for. Even the geniuses on The Journal can see through it

Great picture indeed – I was a bit shocked to see it was from 1991 though, I assumed it was from the 1950s or 60s.

Cool photo. A reminder that Ireland was, and is, more diverse and interesting than we might assume. People are living very different lives to our own….and I’m not just talking about the religious aspect.

        Very true.
I work with my Dad occasionally & his job involves calling to customers houses.
You see some strange stuff in other peoples homes….

There’d be an awful temptation to run up and give the man a funt up the hoop, wouldn’t there?
      Or is it just me?
When I was around 11, I used to insist on my Mum and brother saying the rosary with me at home at nighttime. All praying in front of the fire. I haven’t darkened the door of a church (apart from weddings and funerals) for over 20 years: much good all that aul prayin’ did me.
