Scenes of daily life at the dog shelter of Weinan, Shaanxi Province in China where, for the last six years, five elderly women have been feeding and caring for more than 1,300 stray dogs they’ve saved from the pound (and certain death).

Every morning at 4am, the women, including 60-year-old founder Wang Yanfan, prepare 400 kg of dog food, funded by donations, bless ’em.

Wff.

Faith in humanity restored. It’s my favourite way to judge someone’s character to see how they deal with dogs.

Sure what would be racist about it? Dog is eaten in China. No big deal, different strokes for different cultures. I believe the ones they eat though are bigger, almost like wolves a Chinese friend once told me.

Ehhhh … no. They are scrawny little animals that are kept in tiny cages before they are slaughtered. Dogs, as predator mammals are not suitable prey food.

Shame that we’ve come to expect the worst when anything involving animals and China is involved. I scrolled to the second picture and though…arrgghhh! But no…lovely people, ahhhhh.

Also remember that PETA have funded the ALF, and that Ingrid Newkirk is a diabetic who uses insulin….. No hypocricy here, move along…….

Dogs are a perfect reflection of what humans could aspire to if evolution were to start. And if we had bushy tails.
