Find it odd that the US is ruling out hijacking/terrorism as cause of Germanwings tragedy in France. Surely the sudden and rapid descent and lack of mayday signal are consistent with someone storming the cockpit. You might expect a claim of responsibility if that was the case, and there hasn’t been one of those (yet), but in eight minutes there was no time for a mayday signal or someone to make a mobile call? Odd.

And I see the Telegraph says that Jeremy Clarkson is to be sacked.

These terrible crash pictures with debris spread out over miles always make me wonder about the curious images from flight 9-3 and the pentagon attack on 9-11.

The same thought flitted thru my mind after the shock of seeing the complete obliteration of yesterday’s plane. But I know so little about aviation – or even basic physics- and that thought puts us in such dubious company that I suppressed it!

Thanks Mirror. I hadn’t thought of the utter terror of 8 minutes knowing you’re going to die in a plane before you went to those great efforts to spread that terror around.

Thanks Mirror. Thanks for the TERROR.
