Water meter installation.

Maxwell Road, Rathmines, Dublin 6

Water Boy writes:

Water meters going in, all trucks branded “PACE MRPH Civils Engineering” (sic) with a mobile number* as a contact (seems legit). They also all feature an eagle and a cheery shamrock.
Have tried googling PACE MRPH Irish Water but there are no results. They have a bunch of GMC Sierra equipment which has had “MRPH” crudely spray painted onto it.
Google shows a US/Chinese company called PACE Water Engineering – PACE: Advanced Water Engineering – nothing on their site about Irish Water.Searching for MRPH brings up this company –  – who have huge water contracts in the UK, but nothing on their website about having a contract with Irish Water. Also, nothing I can see from Govt or news sources about this. So, did GMC Sierra sell on the contract? Did the Govt award it to someone else?

Anyone?

Not really, considering the debacle that IW is, it is only reasonable to question everything they do that looks out of place.
For one thing, if it is a UK company… what happened to Phat Phil The Hog’s promise of jobs for Irish workers…..

While I’m not anti-water charges I am very much anti-IW and the crony nonsense of a board of known to be incompetents who run IW. Everything should be checked out.

Clamps you do know that McFarrans one of the companies doing the installation is a northern Irish company so the money is technically going to the UK and they use workers from the north.

That he is unfortunately he has a strong base in Dundalk and then all the republican small villages around louth i am not surprised he got the seat but i am just glad i don’t live there anymore.

  1. All Corrs are Lizards

Murphys are installing all of the water meters in the Limerick/Clare area

Large company hires small sub-contractors on large job – I would surprised if GMC Sierra, or any company, would have enough staff themselves to install water meters in every property in the country.

All vehicles transporting waste (including excavated soil & rock) must hold a valid waste collection permit. A condition of each waste collection permit is that the waste collection permit number is displayed on the sides of the waste collection vehicle. This allows the public to check that the operators are a valid company, are regulated and will dispose of the waste correctly. What you see in this picture is a breach of the conditions of their permit and an offence under the Waste Collection Permit Regulations 2007 ……….. Just sayin’

That’s it, you’ve ended the water meters debate once and for all with this piece of information.
