odeonmy-neighbour-totoro‘My Neighbour Totoro’ (above)

With FIVE family passes to Odeon cinemas to give away we asked: what movie should every kid should watch at least once?

You answered in your tens

Winners:

Bren: “The movie every kid should watch at least once is Mary Poppins (1964) because it’s Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.”

Eve: “The movie every kid should watch at least once is Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (1971) because it’s got chocolate and sweets, Gene Wilder and Oompa Loompas.”

The Old Boy:Time Bandits (1980), because it’s a rollicking time-travelling comedy taking well aimed broadsides at traditional notions of good and evil, plus Ralph Richardson appears as an absent minded and gruffly avuncular Supreme Being.!”

Drogg: “The movie every kid should watch at least once is The Goonies (1985) because its the Goonies.”

Paul: “The movie every kid should watch at least once is ‘My Neighbour Totoro’ (1988) because a giant benevolent owl raccoon and a cat-bus that is always there when you need it will keep anyone’s kids quiet for an hour or two. The underlying themes of strong family and sibling relations, humanity’s relationship with nature and caring for the people around you shouldn’t be overlooked also.”

Thanks all

Cheers, delighted, especially for the correction. Need to clean up my act, this is a family show. ;)
