Milliband wasn’t exactly presenting a coherent, thought-through alternative though, was he? ‘Get the Tories out’ is not enough, especially with the Tories running a competent fear-based campaign.

Oh I agree. Also by Milliband calling DC’s bluff and saying “Yes, its a democracy, and if that’s how they vote great”. Though he couldn’t because obviously they want a majority. Its a frustrating result but not that surprising really.

I dunno. I think Milliband was the problem. That long-drawn out leadership duel between the brothers didn’t help Labour one bit. Mid-term leadership changes should be swift and understated, not allowing the party faithful to fall to personality politics. Tories clearly gained considerably as a result.
