BBC reports:
“A major earthquake has struck eastern Nepal, two weeks after more than 8,000 people were killed in a devastating quake. The latest earthquake hit near the town of Namche Bazar, near Mount Everest. The US Geological Survey said it had a magnitude of 7.3. An earthquake on 25 April, centred in western Nepal, had a magnitude of 7.8.”

Namche Bazaar, the most memorable and populous town on the trail to everest base camp, is essentially shaped like a half-bowl on the mountain side. This could be devastating for it. It will probably be a 50/50 tourist/local split too.
So sad. I’ve been following Scott Carrier on his podcast, Home of the Brave, who went over to Nepal after the first quake. He described how relatively calm the people he has met have been in the face of it all.
7.3 OMG! Everyone should come forward to help the peoples of Nepal. Today’s also some area of India and Bangladesh felt quake.
