You want to talk about the cost of energy? Well, fossil fuel subsidies cost $10 million per minute. Not to mention the costs of cleaning up the waste products that have been dumped in to the atmosphere. Not to mention the costs of repairing the damage caused by climate change. Not to mention the elevated food costs as climate change lays waste to agricultural land.

Are you upset that the number at the bottom of your bill went up? Imagine if it included all of the costs of fossil fuels.

I’m concerned about how policy is implemented not the overarching strategic objective. Is it your contention that the implementation of taxation policies arising from the the polluter pays principle should disproportionately and regressively impact
on the squeezed middle and underclasses?
