It’s the brig Morgenster which is a sail training ship. Looking particularly lovely under a light sail load (was making about 0.5 kts as it passed Balbriggan earlier, according to MarineTraffic.

Point of order, it’s a common misconception that pirates would sial square riggers. They actually prefered schooners or gaff rigged boats as these were faster and more agile. Not much has changed today if you look at the likes of the Somali Pirates.

One of the largest tall ships in the world set to arrive in Dubin from Argintinia. Could be it.
