We’re back baby! This morning: construction works at the Anglo Irish Bank [now Central Bank] site. Guards have blocked the road.

Anyone?

Update: The road blocking relates to an accident earlier this morning (see comments)

Darragh you little conspiracy nut. There was a fatal accident with a motorcyclist this morning further down the quay.

      Well Mister,
I didn’t see any sign of the crash this morning. I had presumed that the road closure for the construction works, more of a public safety issue than a conspiracy theory.
My thoughts are with the motorcyclists family.

Road bridges have a 100 year lifespan and take immense punishment, so probably double that.

        Not necessarily.
All concrete is not the same. It is mixed depending on the usage/location/structural requirements. The concrete in this building wouldn’t have been designed for constant exposure to the elements. However, it would’ve been tested prior to construction and remedial works carried out if needed.

I find it curious how much detail this RTA has in the indo, pictures as well … If he wasnt a foreign national I suspect there would be less detail…
