Do journalists at the sun think ” Jesus, I must be a shit journalist if I’m working at the sun”?

Nah, I reckon the knowledge that they are basically unemployable by any other rag keeps them up at night …. drinking gin

Not just that, but the pure, proven dregs of humanity.

Making the world dumber, trashier and nastier. One article at a time.

But that’s not how it works at all. Many of them are Oxbridge graduates who either have or will in the future work at ‘reputable’ papers like the Telegraph or the Financial Times. The nationals are all fiercely competitive, prestigious gigs, and as professional writers they simply adapt their style and tone to suit whichever audience they’re writing for. This is more true of the editorial and ‘news’ writers than the showbiz ones, obviously. But actually I always think this makes it worse instead of better – they know exactly what they’re doing.

Yup. I used to know this guy who wrote for the Daily Star in England, he was very bright, but if you read his articles you would perceive him to be a complete moron.

Typical liberal conservative-broadsheets-are-actually-worse-than-tabloids bullsh*t. Anything to give the working class a free pass. You’d probably make excuses for poor people who support the BNP.

I am torn between my hatred for Murdoch and his rags, and my hatred of monarchy. It is a good day, neither of them come out of this looking any better.

I’m also very anti-monarchy, but this comes across as just humiliating an old lady tbh.

This isn’t really an indictment of the ‘little old lady’ but of the organisation she represents and benefits from.

Germans spotted saluting their new Führer in 1933 – what’s so odd about that?
