Just heard some guy on the radio casting doubt on the allegations, stating that Heath was respected by the establishment and did lots of Charity work- that description sounds familiar.

They’ll investigate all the dead guys, give people a sense of justice being done. Then the guys still alive will claim they can’t get a fair trial and they’ll be left alone.

Wow, four is a lot…Funny that there’s also another article on Sky News today talking about how they need to merge police forces to stop bloating and save £300m per year.

The sooner they abolish the tin-pot City of London Police and merge it with the Met the better. The big names in the City have made it almost impossible to do so politically. Funnily enough, the City Police are responsible for policing financial crime in the City.

It’s known in other forces, particularly the Met, as “the best little police force money can buy”.

for all the wrongs committed by English policing their determination to correct past mistakes is admirable. shame it will never happen here as the Gardai are bent as s-hooks and an amateur bunch of thugs at best. Heath should have came over here. he could have enjoyed himself up at Kincora and cottaged rent boys in the Phoenix park

They have been forced to really by members of the public who won’t let it lie. I wouldn’t say it’s been voluntary a lot of the time.

Garda corruption and ineptitude from Donegal to Schull. You’re right that is a generalisation… of ability to police. In the UK a clean up is happening and it should be applauded.
As for the Guards, leaving aside the decades of sexual abuse by the clergy that had a blind eye turned to it.
Ian Bailley. The Morris tribunal. Abbeylara. €35000 Of Alcohol To Belmullet Gardai. The whistleblowers… etc. The Guards are inept, dangerous and unaccountable.
The Guards in Ireland mistake bullying for balanced policing. What terrible miscarriages of justice must this hide?

This is part of a ye olde conspiracy theory that’s been doing the rounds, long before Yewtree started, right?

    1. The Old Boy

Someone was jailed in the late eighties or nineties for perjury and perverting the course of justice for claiming he had seen photographs of Heath engaging in illegal sexual activity. He certainly couldn’t produce any evidence when challenged. I can’t remember the exact details now.

Thanks for this its Nice to be reminded for example that not far away there is a tinpot shithole of a country not dissimilar in outlook to ones own

Kincora in the North, Haut La Garenne in Jersey, Bryn Estyn in North Wales, Elm Guest House in London, Jimmy Savile, Gary Glitter, Leon Brittan, Ted Heath – there is a brutal, cynical story here. Abuse carried out over such a long period of time, all over the UK by people moving in very high circles and in position of power and influence, rumours of blackmail after child abuse being videoed by the ‘security services’. Apparently even the Kray twins were involved with senior British politicians. The(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Boothby,_Baron_Boothby#Sexuality_and_the_Kray_twins)

    The whole thing is unbelievable.
