boston dynamics is an anagram of skynet!!! (if you take some letter out, and add some new ones in)

I’m not sure why robotics people are trying so hard to create a bi-pedal robot when its one of the most inefficient way of walking according to evolutionary biologists.

    Still, it looks badass

Our world homes, our streets and workplaces are built specifically to accomodate the human body shape, doors , handles, kitchen counters, stairs.

If we wont robots to serve us around the home it would be an ideal form. Although it’s probably more likely they’ll be handing this thing a rifle or a parking ticket printer.

I, for one, welcome our new robotic overlords…
Whatever the spiel about these things, they are obviously being developed for military purposes (why else have one running through a forest and not, say, navigating a busy shopping mall…). Sinister.

Because forest floors are fairly uneven compared to shopping malls. The challenge here is that it’s constantly readjusting to a unpredictable surface not that it’s avoiding obstacles.
