The fine people at [quality Dublin history blog] Come Here To Me! and The Sugar Club, Leeson Street, Dublin are putting on “Dublin Songs and Stories” in aid of the Rape Crisis Centre.

This time we’ve got the eminent BP Fallon, Mick Pyro of Republic of Loose, street artist ADW, producer of U2’s album covers Steve Averill, some fantastic trad music from John Flynn of Skippers Alley, campaigner Ailbhe Smith who has been at the forefront of feminist and LGBT campaigns for decades.. (there’s more so..deep breath)

…James Redmond of forthcoming documentary “As an Talamh,” which covers the Irish rave scene historically, Brenda Malone of “The Cricket bat that died for Ireland,” a site that covers some of the more overlooked items in the National Museum, and Bohemian FC poet-in-residence Lewis Kenny will be dropping in for a special rendition of one of his poems to mark his club’s 125th birthday….
