Academics for Palestine [Irish-based scholars supporting Palestinian academics and students] will host a discussion on the state of higher education in Gaza.
The evening will include contributions from Dr Ayman Shaheen, a professor of political science at Al Azhar University, Gaza; Suha Shaheen, an IT lecturer at Al Quds Open University in Gaza; Dr Yaser Al Ashqar, from Gaza and now lecturing at the Irish School of Ecumenics, TCD; and Malaka Mohammed, a writer and activist from Gaza who now studies and teaches at the University of Exeter.
