         That would be an achievement in a truly global sport. In a sport played professionally in just 10 countries, not so much.

            Soccer may be played professionally in many more countries but the World Cup still comes down to about 6 potential winners every time – Germany, Brazil, Argentina, Italy, The Netherlands and Spain.

               Netherlands have never won it and won’t be going to Euro 2016. Replace them with France and Uruguay and England and I think that’s the full list of winners. Also, check out Spain’s record pre-2006. I reckon “Tiki-Taka” was a noise Dr Fuentes’ syringe made when it was being prepped and driven home.

            You qualify by performance in the previous World Cup or through the qualification process.
