Have to agree, would never listen to his music voluntarily but he seems like a genuinely nice guy and always has time for his fans. I have heard several cases of him going out of his way to talk to and spend time with his fans.
His music makes a lot of people happy and that is important. It would be a very boring world if everyone was into the same music.

Crikey – give it a rest. This is beyond creepy. No one cares what he is or with whom he wishes to share his life. The same sort of nudge-nudge, wink-wink commentary comes up anytime there is a post about Senator Ronan Mullen. Why obsess about his sexuality when there is so much more of substance to say about the luminary Mullen? I can’t help but discern a certain level of casual homophobia here because Daniel doesn’t fit in to your neat little boxes. Ultimately though, most people don’t give a crap and it just strikes one as creepy and a tad antediluvian to peddle the whole “Daniel is secretly a homo” line. Grow up.

No one cares. Here’s a tip: concentrate on your own private life rather than speculating on the lives of others. Really, ultimately no one cares and the more you bang on about Daniel’s “secret gay life”, the creepier you become.
Nothing creepy about it. I find it deeply strange having his wife paraded around in front of tv cameras with nobody saying stop, the emperor has no clothes on.
Irrespective of your insinuations, he probably enjoys family life – I’ve heard him say in interview that he loves being a grandfather. It’s a free country, each of us is allowed to live whatever way makes us happy. You should try it yourself sometime.
@lilly – Exactly. This casual homophobia or even internalised homophobia that pervades Jonotti’s post is repugnant and I will reiterate, downright creepy. No one cares about Daniel’s private life and in whatever way it is configured. It is simply a matter for him and his family alone. It is not for idle tittle-tattle or speculation, especially given that Daniel has never himself uttered anything that would render him a hypocrite in the vein of some Roman clerics. In the same way as Francis Brennan, Ronan Mullen, Michael Kelly of the Irish Catholic, these men are entitled to respect and private lives free from insinuation and rumour. I still think these insinuations are simply because Daniel doesn’t fit the “masculine” stereotype which does such a disservice to men in general, gay or straight.
