Broadsheet Trailer Park: Sherlock – The Abominable Bride

at

Sherlock

What you may need to know:

1. Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch) and John Watson (Martin Freeman) go back to their 19th century roots for this one-off special.

2. This is the first episode of the Steven Moffat era not based on one of Arthur Conan Dolyle’s stories.

3. Pipes, bowler hats and elaborately waxed facial hair… Victorian London or Thursday afternoon in the Fumbally?

4. Fans will have a bit of a wait for the fourth series. Shooting won’t start until next spring with the first episode probably screening in January 2017.

5. Yes it’s very good, but 3 episodes every 2 years? They’re not exactly killing themselves, are they?

6. That might be slightly unfair, what with Cumberbatch‘s and Freeman’s workload.

7. Broadsheet prognosis: Nothing says New Year like Sherlock. Except Hootenanny.

Release Date: January 1, 2016 (BBC)
