Yesterday.
Snap Printing, Belgard Road, Tallaght, Dublin
Controversial Renua Ireland candidate and South Dublin county councillor Ronan McMahon with “just one of 1000 posters Renua plan to print” to be ready in time for the forthcoming General Election.
Breaking the law, breaking the law.
FIGHT!

Lucinda has had “community meeting” posters up for months in Ballsbridge
the unborn party is out and about
I hope Snap were reimbursed after he broke the printer by pulling the paper.
Failed Fine Gael politician, McMahon owns the Belgard Road branch of Snap printing, reason enough to boycott it.
Really?
Yep, he does indeed.
IIRC, he has “Printed By…” on this leaflet flyers that were thrown in the door when he was “Independent Fine Gael”.

Mentions that he owns Snap printing on every piece of literature.
here’s an ask the internet question….what is the law around these posters exactly?
reason is I have noted the fact that FG candidates locally have had electioneering style posters up for months now with a tagline announcing some mar dhea meeting around some horsesht topic like effectively dealing with granny’s bunions etc…
do they need planning permission?
are they allowed to just do that (put up these obviously fake ass posters pre-election)??
Election posters can only go up 3 weeks in advance of an election.
They must be taken down in a specific time after the election. There are fines for not doing so and they accrue daily.
For the ‘local meeting” posters, they are up almost permanently in D8 for AAA/PBP/water groups.
Most meetings have about 20 people attend at most. But its a way of getting a politician’s name & face up a lamppost early.
Ironically if they were to hang themselves from a lamppost they would get more attention and save money.
I like your shtyle, nicely put
“But its a way of getting a politician’s name & face up a lamppost early”
yep, bingo
I think in fairness tho there’s a substantial difference in substance between a photoshopped “Mary Mitchell O’Connor Dementia The Reality” poster and one advertising a forthcoming AAA meeting
however I still wondering – when it’s THIS OBVIOUS as you pointed out is it legal or not??
God yeah the scary Mary Mitchell O’Connor Photoshop pimp-your-poster job. They must have had run on peroxide ink!
” For the ‘local meeting” posters, they are up almost permanently in D8 for AAA/PBP/water groups. ”
No, they are not.
Rialto. Seriously.
It’ll come full circle when a political poster also offers cash for your car.
why is he inspecting his tie so closely? did he spot a crumb?
They are supported to have text on them saying something about who had them printed.
Egg stain. Those eggs be runnin’.
An eyeglass? What’s he doing? Checking for register? Git.
+1
It’s a DIGITAL print!
Exactly. Bloody nonsense. But then again, he owns that Snap so at least he knows what it is he’s not doing.
He’s doing it all wrong. It’s not a real PR piece. He should’ve been holding that glass to a body part of a model standing naked on Stephen’s Green with the poster on a poll 100 yards into the background.
He’s peering into his Corri board soul.
There’s election style “Vote No 1” around Crumlin for a few days now already.
If there is, feel free to tear them down. They are illegal.
This Clown ran as “Independent Fine Gael” last time, what wont he do to get elected?!
Alex white has his up around Dundrum for a week or so now. Pointless exercise if I’ve ever seen one.
