It’s all a bit North Korea.
Choreography and standard of uniform(ity) is a bit weak though.
They don’t have the fear smile either
There’s no fear about it when you love the dear leader
I hear ya. I’m not mad into this type of thing either but if the current government doesn’t get in front of the 100 year anniversary celebrations, then shinfein/ira will, and who knows what kind of scum crowds they’ll pull together. it’s just bored kids, by next year they will forget this national pride identity nonsense and rejoin the wider world.
The Shinners can do what they like. Only people who like the Shinners will attend. The military and 10 year olds don’t mix though, as far as I’m concerned.
Yawn.
The 1916 thing is such a non event for ordinary eejits like me. The parish pumpers are falling over each other to claim their stake to it, the Fine Gael gang don’t seem to really want to touch it all bar rubbing Fianna Fails nose in it and watching the political arm of a terrorist organisation acting like its their day in the sun is probably the most sickening of it all.
Let me just say now that I have my doubts that any of the original Irish Musketeers would have admired or condoned the political landscape that’s been created in this country post their adventures and endeavours. They’re all guilty of diluting the beer but being sickeningly happy barmen. Piss off with 1916 I say.
Yes indeed, let’s write the entire year out of history, what ho!
Well in fairness what they’re giving us both as a show and politically today then they might as well be.
Fair point….
This years budget highlight – €50m to be spent on 1916 celebrations…. €17m on the housing crisis….
I’d bet (if I could) that those that died in 1916 would turn in their graves seeing those two figures.
bang on, they died trying to make things better, striving for a fairer Ireland… The government would be doing their memory a greater service by trying to fulfill that goal.
17m euro *extra* on the homelessness crisis, no? As in that much of a budget increase on top of last year?
murderers and jesus loving pedoes, maybe time to leave both in the bin and offer something better to this kids?
Now you said it.
Don’t worry kids, you’ve the guts of three weeks off next Easter and if your parents have any sense you’ll be off to Fuerteventura for the duration.
Also, Inchicore is not in D11. I don’t know where it is but it’s not there.
Mostly Dublin 10 but a small part in Dublin 12, looks like BS just split the difference.
Actually it’s D8
Numberwang!
A culchie writes: I worked in Inchicore, near enough to Bluebell, but on the ‘town’ side of the canal. A fair chunk of Inchicore – particularly the village – is in Dublin 8, no?
Uninterested not disinterested.
Sure it’s all going interactive these days
That time we fought to get some of our country back.
Embarrassing.
