Tom Tuite, in the Irish Times, reports:
“Residents at Longboat Quay apartments in Dublin have been given 18 months to complete almost €4 million worth of vital fire safety modifications.”
“A court order stalls the threat of evacuation hanging over approximately 600 residents from the 298 apartments in the Dublin docklands.”

How many more are there of these types of developments?
It should be in the 100’s, they’ll still be discovering them 20 years from now. I am correct because there is NO centralised record of such things, this being the 21st century and all it is way beyond the skills of the irish civil service to come up with one.
Well another “High Quality” Bernard Mc Namara office development at Elm Park on the Merrion Road in Dublin was making people sea sick it was moving so much in the wind last week. So badly that people used to living in earthquake zones got up and left. We then have some others with more cash than sense buying it for 200 million at the same time .

I see he’s building again on a redacted owned site off stephen’s green, hope redacted stumps up for the smoke alarms…. and checks there still there afterwards…
This is insane
this country must be the most corrupt in europe .. its up to the residents to pay for this? even tho it was built by someone else? its not the residents fault yet the responsibility is on them? and sure of course, why hold a developer/construction company responsilbe… sure he’s probably in the same mens club as the judge. hes hardly going to punish him, the embarassment he’d endure dolling out that and then having to see him in the mens club afterwards? unbearable to think of, yes, instead, make innocent people pay. thats what this country is all about.
