The upside is that the drivers can set their own hours (and holidays), which is rare enough for part time work

these guys are getting badly criticised in the UK for being terrible to staff, paying below minimum wage along with loads of other offences….meaning they are a bit poo to work for in general.

I’m not sure if you are allowed ask people what nationality they are on such forms. Sure, you can ask if they are legally able to work in Ireland (which is a separate field in Deliveroo’s form), but the employment equality act prohibits discriminating based on nationality. But no worries :)

      Also:

“Have you ever been convicted of a criminal offence [which is not a spent conviction within the terms of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974]? ”

Are they allowed to ask this?

Nearly ran over one of these dopes the other day. Dark, no lights/hi viz, cycling erratically down the middle of a busy street.

Worst cyclists in the city. Consistently break red lights, dressed in dark colours, often no lights. Presumably trying to avoid financial penalties for late deliveries.

    Coming from another cyclist.

    I’ve got a bike
You can ride it if you like.
    It’s got a basket
    A bell that rings
And things to make it look good.
I’d give it to you if I could
    But I borrowed it.
