To be fair, we should also destroy all socially-aware music, especially hip-hop. That has fixed nothing but the bank balance of the artists themselves.

Ah you’re all too easy. I was going that ignorant Irishman and art thing. The type with the fake leaded windows and the plastic Roman columned porch…. in Templeogue.

the people at Calais could claim asylum in France but prefer to live in the jungle while waiting to illegally enter the UK

If you had their prospects, you’d do the same. Be thankful for what you have and don’t judge others on your own standard of living.

I used to like what Banksy was saying but I find that Steve Jobs reference extremely petty and a tad desperate.

Why? I think its a helpful counter to the opinion that everyone coming in from Syria is ISIS in disguise and going to kill us in our beds.

          “It’s extremely petty and deperate”
          “Why?”
          “Well, it’s just not Banksy”

So…no follow-up on the “petty and desperate” then? This is just the by-now-standard “Hoop is a bit of a racist when it comes to refugees” nitpicking, yeah?

Funny thing tho… corporates like Jobs being used to show that not all refugees are ISIS whakos… but when this shining example gets to the US/UK and then top of the corporate ladder they’ll just exploit, exploit, exploit people to the point of suicide; and these corporates rape countries for profit; and then dodge paying tax that those countries could have kept to make life better…. Go Apple! Just another dysfunctional sociopath corporation.
Steve Jobs was not a good ‘well known face’ to use. He was a manipulative self serving corporate greedy bottomhole. A scumbag in many, many respects, IMO.

He’s also used a figurehead for the pro-life movement as he would probably have been aborted under different circumstances.

Jaysus….. a man who abandoned / denied the existence of his own kid. Well done pro-life.

I suppose it’s the pro-life way, so long as it is born, doesn’t matter what happens afterwards…. YAY :)

Ugghghghghh Banksy… Well I watch Stewart Lee…. YEA! STEWART LEE! That’s right. I’m part of the intellectual oligarchy, and he looks down on Banksy. I also read Charlie Brooker who said “his work looks dazzlingly clever to idiots” and I’m no idiot, I like Stewart Lee. Also Blek Le Rat blah blah blah.

Banksy is to art what First Aid Kit is to music.

At first you think.. hey… and then you think… ah here now.
