An ambitious concept by Belgian architect Vincent Callebaut for an oceanic city made from a 3D printed combination of algae and recycled rubbish. The jellyfish-like, marina-domed ‘seascrapers’ extendable up to a kilometre deep, would feature renewable energy sources and sustanable food in the form of vegetable gardens, plankton, algae and mollusc farms.
One of many sustainable/renewable/optimistic concepts that can be viewed at Callebaut’s website.

He may have just watched ‘A Bugs Life’ but I like this whole concept of marine / submarine living.
Remember though, it’s just a fantasy of a guy with a pirated version of Photoshop and better drugs than we have…who doesn’t like his neighbours.
It isn’t real.
You can’t go there.
This time next year Athlone will look like that.
This time next year we’ll be Marin-ers.
A great improvement, so.

Nobody wants mollusks attached to their
“…extendable up to a kilometre deep” – they certainly won’t be as bright as those in the drawings if they extend down more than a few feet.

BS, will you please correct that missing ‘>’ for me?
And please, do it properly this time.
Don’t just remove all formatting like you did before.
Thanks.
And then delete this.
(I feel like I have to ask. That’s wrong,)
Or leave it.
I don’t care.
Needs more Art-deco, so it can be more like the underwater city from Bioshock.
D’ya hear dat Deco?
He sez it needs more art.
It’ll never happen, no need to look
