I love Bernie Saunders even more.
He’s the president America needs…to become greater again.
I think of him as the Saviour of the Universe, a man who isn’t willing to risk my life or the lives of other innocents to appease his financial backers.
It’s more complicated than that though, isn’t it?
And it’s late…
I have no doubt that I’ll be returning to this subject again in the coming 10 months, futile as it may be.

Self-defence is tricky. Who decides what’s a proportional response, ie, proportional to the perceived threat? Is there an element of subjectivity involved? How many people can pile on before it is removed from the realm of self-defence, one other or more?

While Enda’s holding the insurers’ feet to the fire, maybe he could have a little chat about health plans? Or just boot them out of it and make a National Health system instead.

So it’s ok to bail out ICI and Quinn using taxpayers money but not householders who can’t get flood cover. Hopefully this will be remembered at elections time.
As for the feet to the fire, I reckon the insurance Industries feet are as heat proof as the mortgage lenders feet were when Noonan and Edna were going to force down mortgage rates.
