The charity, officially called Product Red, is a brand that gets licensed to global companies, from Starbucks to Apple. A part of the profits generated by the sale of the products with the brand is donated to a fund that fights diseases such as AIDS and malaria.
It all goes around, in fairness.

CBA Googling the info, anyone know how much “A part of the profits generated” actually is? Considering it’s run by extremely rich people/corporations already, surely it would be charitable to donation all of the profits, no?
red is an advocacy group. The euro from that designer item you paid 4 figures for with go towards paying for a meal where rich people raise awareness amongst themselves for other designer goods.
