Shocking.. This man should have had garda protection….but but wait…..50 minding Joan Bruton on her walkabouts. An absolute disgrace.

this deceased career criminal who won 33000 on winning streak could have afforded private protection. no need to have wasted public money on scum.

I understand the deceased was quiet and well liked and had only minor juvenile convictions going back 30 odd years. Not gangland and a sitting duck. The ruthlessness of gangland figures is a bleak outlook for future generations. 60 unsolved gangland murders and counting…………shocking.

I understand the deceased had a brother connected to gangland crime. Perhaps the brother should have paid more attention to protecting his family instead of relying on the law of the land that he cares so little for to dedicate personnel to protecting them.

garda protection for what? vermin? I’d rather they did work useful for the community, let these bozos off each other.

If some ra-head or some gangster with his hands down his jocks wants to whack you then no amount of Garda protection will work.

Earlier today the government tried to stitch up Adams and co with the false claim from NI. that republicans were involved on SATs murder. Who arranged the convenient phone call to the PSNI claiming responsibility. Yes, this government has sunk to new depths in it’s attempts to discredit the Shinners.

So what you’re saying is that Gerry Adams is affiliated with the Continuity IRA? If not then how could anyone possibly ‘stitch up Adams’ for it? If he had no link to that acronym, and not history of a link, then there would be no harm to his campaign. – but there is.

The shinners are linked to the rotten acronym that stains Ireland. Thats the bottom line.

Because Kenny made the valid points that (a) Gerry Adams wants to gut the only court on this country that can deal with these lads just so his mate slab can evade justice and (b) AK-47, weapons favoured by the Provos were used in the regency.

not buying that, the man is a buffoon

he made a blatant attempt today to do some election stuntery with a very wide observation about the provenance of the hardware used at the Regency

meanwhile tis himself and Frances at the wheel & this is happening on THEIR watch

        spin cycle to max

Immediately after the regency killing on Friday evening it was being reported that it was retaliation for the Hutch killing last year. It became common knowledge straight away what it was about.

Enda was trying to be calculating & use it to his own political advantage, & has ended up looking like more of an idiot than he usually does, which is quite an accomplishment when you think about it. I often wonder if he was dropped as a baby.

+1. A big field and let them line up on each side like the battles of old. Last man standing wins.
Solution for several type conflicts really, the hatchet and slash hook brigade can use the field next to it.

Ahyeah, that’s a fairly simply thought. ‘Let is run its self out’. Why not take more preventative steps rather then reactionary. The guards get a lot of bad stick, but there is a lot going on behind the scenes. Id like to see them take a more proactive aggressive step. Kicking down more doors. Arresting family members of gang members and loosening the paper work / legal loopholes they have to go through to stop gangs.

“Just like Paris” – Joe Duffy.

The BBC tried to sexy it up with some IRA connections. That went around the world fast. Turns out it’s just boring old gang stuff.

Failte Ireland in for a few late nights.
