    Excuse me.
My understanding of it was that if you were going to comment on a thread like this that you would at least show the courtesy of displaying the name of the ‘newspaper’ or newspaper you are referring to in your heading.
You aren’t promoting your point. You’re just being a blinkered, obnoxious and annoying contributor.
-Ain’t nobody got time fer dat.

    There IS a better way.
You are allowed your indignation, but don’t make us have to search for it.
    That’s just being a dick.

        I’m pretty widdled, granted.
I think I missed the question the first time around, but if you’d care to ask it again I will address it.
I didn’t know you were talking to me.

        Are you ready?
        I’m ready.

    Back to the papers…
‘Why we won’t be intimidated.’ – Irish Independent.

Why don’t you print a full-page colour photo of Veronica Guerin in the hope that people mistake it for actual news? Chances are that they’ll pull all the wrong conclusions you want to promote.

It’s not like you have anything worth saying. That’s not your style.
There might be an election looming, but don’t let that get in the way of your blatant agenda.

Your paper is free in McDonalds.
The paper in their jacks is much better, and contains considerably less **** after use.

Be nice if the Independent ran a similar front page when it came to Denis O’Brien or Martin Callinan.

David Drumm is going to miss his cell mate Bubba, when he returns.
Can’t think why he has had a change of heart and decided to return

  5. Truth in the News

Its not the Kinahans or the Hutch gangs that are the real threat to society, it is the type of news coverage that INM has employed to report on them, that elevates their importance, the reality is that a couple of specialised under cover units would
have closed them down years ago, with years all thats published in the Sunday World is a type of hype that gives them more publicity in order to sell papers.
As for any of the scribes in INM standing up to the under world, they would run
away like rabbits….if they are so brave why run a picture of a long deceased
journalist to hide behind, let the dead rest

If the crims are really threatening individual INM journalists – and I seriously doubt it, they must know such threats would be more effective if issued further up the food chain. Were Stephen Rae, for instance, to receive a Black ‘n Decker drill in the post (or whatever way they communicate their displeasure these days), the coverage would dry up overnight.

Remember how easily Denis O’Brien got Sam Smyth off his back, ruining his career for good measure. He didn’t achieve this by threatening Smyth.
