But the newspapers and Gardai make so much money out of drug prohibition, why would they ever allow that to change?

Yeah! All those Gards driving around the gaff in their new Mercs. Those bleedin’ rich baxtards.

That’s some panel to discuss the 8th Amendment.

Nell: “I agree with you more.”
Colm: “No, no. I simply couldn’t agree with you more.”
Tara: “Guys, guys, let’s stop the arguing. We all agree with each other equally.”

Chair: ” One voice at a time, PLEASE!”

Although Nell’s honesty and straightforwardness is welcome: “It’s not #repealthe8th, it’s legalise abortion.”

Ireland is run by priests and prudes.

Legalization of drugs is not coming any decade soon. Decriminalizing might happen on a tiny level. Maybe 20-30 years away.

Sure Joe Duffy ran a poll on it and most of his listeners wouldn’t be opposed. If the contrarian blue rinse brigade are open to it, I think decriminalisation is happening much sooner than you think.

Really demonstrates the comparative shortcomings of irish universities when you have a creature of limited intellect, like Tyaransen lecturing a group of students. Dear oh dear…
